Part 1 - Intro to WE from Viv & Caroline
Part 2 - 2 volunteers and their horses from the club will have a first introduction to Working Equitation
Caroline Howlett and Vivien Whitfield, both listed Instructors, have a passion for the Sport of Working Equitation. It truly is a sport for all levels of rider and all types of horses and ponies.
The sport promotes classical training principles and encourages the preservation of techniques developed in different countries for working horses in the field, such as the ability to cross different terrains, open gates, rein back, stand quietly, pick things up and carry them, manoeuvre in tight spaces and listen to the rider no matter what difficulties they may face.
Working Equitation is a real test of the horse’s temperament and training, the rider’s skill and ability and of course the relationship between horse and rider combining dressage with obstacles.
